Dozens of listings line up with photos and prices, and under most of them sits a short line: "Free delivery", "Free delivery on $35+". Under some there is nothing. For those, the shopper finds out the shipping cost only at checkout. Shipping cost is part of the price a shopper compares. When most listings on a page promise free delivery, a listing that says nothing looks more expensive, even if it is not. That line of text is set by the seller, which makes it one of the easiest things on a Shopping listing to fix. **36.5%** of Google Shopping listings show no delivery information at all. Free shipping is the norm among the rest: 62.8% of all listings advertise it, and 52.7% offer it with no minimum order. ## What we measured On September 23, 2026 we analysed up to 100 Google Shopping listings for each of 4,957 US product searches, 579,303 listings in all, across 10 product categories from apparel to electronics. For each listing we read the delivery line Google shows under the price, along with the listing's price, category and seller. A listing counts as offering free shipping when its delivery line offers free delivery. Free with no minimum means free delivery on any order; free above a minimum means free delivery only once the order passes a dollar amount, such as "Free delivery on $35+". A listing shows no delivery information when there is no delivery line at all. Fast delivery means the line promises next-day or same-day delivery. ## A third of listings say nothing about delivery 36.5% of Google Shopping listings show no delivery information. More than one in three listings leaves the shopper guessing. Google builds the delivery line from the seller's own shipping settings, so a missing line is something the seller controls. The shopper sees only a blank next to competitors that say "Free delivery". Seller policy decides it. Among sellers with 2,000 or more listings, Chewy, Sephora and Petco show free shipping on more than 99% of their listings and a delivery message on almost all of them. At the other end, several large sellers almost never show a free shipping message, and most of their listings carry no delivery text at all. Most of those have no minimum: 52.7% of all listings offer free delivery on any order, and another 10.1% offer it above an order minimum. The most common minimums are $35, on 12,778 listings, $50 on 8,925 and $49 on 8,321, then $100. Those three amounts appear on 30,024 listings between them. Speed is rare. 1.7% of listings promise next-day or same-day delivery, so a seller that can offer it stands out on almost any Shopping page. ## Cheaper products ship free less often Free shipping rises with price. 46% of listings under $25 offer it, against 58% at $25 to $50, 70% at $50 to $100 and 72% at $100 to $250. On a cheap item, shipping can cost as much as the margin, so sellers either charge for it or set a minimum order. Kids products are lowest at 46.3%. Beauty shows the biggest gap between any free shipping (60.4%) and free shipping with no minimum (33.3%), because beauty sellers often use order minimums. Set up shipping rates and delivery times in your Google Merchant Center account, then search for your own products and check that the delivery line appears under the price. More than a third of listings show nothing, so this alone can set your listing apart. Set minimums with the market in mind. $35 and $50 are the common cut-offs, and shoppers recognize them. For low-priced products, where free shipping is least common, a minimum that encourages a second item protects your margin while still letting the listing say "Free delivery". If you can deliver next day, say so: 1.7% of listings do.
