# YouTube Advertising Agency

Win the first five seconds, then prove the video changed what your customers did.

We plan the audience, write the opening seconds and agree how results will be measured before a single impression runs. Your YouTube advertising agency should show what the video added to the business, not just how many views it bought.

• Why Suff Digital

## Video that gets judged on business results, not views.

We manage YouTube campaigns from creative testing through audience design, placement control, frequency management and measurement. The budget is defended with evidence instead of view counts, and every hook test and frequency setting stays visible to you.

• How we help

## What Our YouTube Advertising Services Include

Four decisions carry a video account: who sees the ad, what the opening seconds say, how often it runs, and how you prove it changed anything.

(04)

### • Audiences built from what people searched for

Custom intent audiences come from real search behavior, with your customer lists layered on top. Each runs on its own line, so you can see what a customer costs from it.

### • The opening seconds scripted and tested separately

We write and test the opening apart from the rest of the cut, because that is where the decision to skip is made and nothing later can win it back.

### • A second video for people who watched the first

Ad sequences show the second and third messages only to people who got through the first, so the story moves forward instead of restarting on every impression.

### • Frequency caps and the placement exclusion list

Caps are set per audience rather than per campaign, and placements are reviewed monthly so the channels and apps wasting your money can be named and excluded.

See our process •

• Where it breaks

## Problems we see in YouTube ad accounts

These are the four things a YouTube advertising agency finds most often when a video budget is running and no new customers are arriving.

Diagnose my site •

01

### Paying for views from people who will never buy

Cost per view looks healthy, the view count climbs, and nothing downstream moves. The targeting is wide enough that the ad lands on people with no relationship to what you sell, and a cheap view is easiest to buy from exactly those people. The longer it runs, the better the reporting looks and the less the business gets.

02

### An opening five seconds that says nothing useful

The video opens with a logo animation and a brand line, and the viewer has skipped before it gets to the point. Most video creative started life as a brand film people chose to watch, which is a different job from an ad that interrupts. Bidding cannot rescue it, because the auction is pricing an ad viewers do not want to sit through.

03

### View-through conversions your finance team will not accept

The platform reports conversions from people who saw the ad and never clicked, and finance refuses to count them. They are right to push back. Without a group held back from the ad, nothing separates a customer the video won from one who was buying anyway. This is the argument that gets video budgets cut.

04

### The same video still running months after it stopped working

View rate slides week by week and the cost per customer climbs with it. One cut has been serving to the same audience for months, so people have seen it too often and it feels stale. Nothing in the account warns you, because each week's decline is too small to notice on its own.

## Our YouTube Advertising Process

(04)

Phase 01

Week 1

### Watching the video you already have

We watch your existing cuts the way an advertiser has to rather than the way a brand team does. That means where a viewer is likely to skip, what the first five seconds say, and whether anything could stand alone as a short. You get that written up before we ask for production budget.

Phase 02

Weeks 1-2

### Building the audiences

Your customer lists get uploaded and matched first, then the intent audiences are built outward from the searches those people actually make. You approve every definition before anything launches, because the whole spend rests on them.

Phase 03

6-week cycles

### Testing openings against a fixed cut

Openings run against each other in six-week cycles, long enough for each one to reach a sample worth reading. Winners get promoted, losers get written down with the reason they lost. Over two or three cycles this usually beats any bidding change on the platform.

Phase 04

Quarterly

### Reading the result against a held-back group

Each quarter we compare people who saw the video against a group deliberately kept away from it, and report what the video added on top of what would have happened anyway. If the answer is not much, we say so and recommend moving the money elsewhere. The cadences above are an estimate rather than a final timeline; the real dates are agreed in your proposal, because a cycle runs on your traffic, not on ours.

Get started •

• The demand you create

### People rarely search for a product they have never heard of.

Search advertising can only collect demand that already exists in a buyer's head. Video is where it gets put there, which is the argument for running it and the reason it is harder to measure. What video creates shows up later in the search campaigns that catch it (https://www.suffdigital.com/services/ppc/google-ads).

•

Audiences built from search behavior, not interest categories

•

A held-back group agreed before launch, not reconstructed afterwards

•

Every audience on its own line, so its cost stays visible

• Where the video runs

### YouTube creative needs separate versions for each campaign placement.

In-stream, Shorts, in-feed and connected TV ask for different things. A vertical short built for a scrolling feed is a poor living-room spot, and the reverse is just as true. We decide which formats a campaign will buy before production starts, so the shoot produces what the inventory needs.

•

Format chosen per campaign and per stage of the decision

•

Production briefed from the formats the plan will buy

•

Each format run long enough to be compared fairly

• Proving it worked

### A channel without proof loses its budget first.

Video rarely wins the last click, so a report built on last clicks will always recommend cutting it. A control group is what turns that argument into a number your finance team can check. We report it whichever way it lands.

•

Quarterly comparison against a group held back from the ad

•

The view-through window set deliberately and written down

•

Brand lift surveys where the campaign is large enough

• Deciding whether to run it

### When YouTube ads are worth paying for.

YouTube ads are worth it when there is an audience you can define, creative built for the format rather than borrowed from a brand film, and an agreed measure tied to something the business cares about. Without those three, more budget makes the problem bigger. Media cost is paid to Google and is separate from our management fee; we scope both before quoting.

• How to choose

### How to compare one video partner with another.

Ask any YouTube advertising agency for four things: what their last three creative tests taught them, how their audiences were built, where they have excluded delivery, and how they would settle whether the channel is working. A partner who can only show view counts is telling you what the platform reported, not what the media did.

• What you keep

### The account, the audiences and the creative learning.

We work inside advertising, analytics and CRM accounts you own. If you take the work elsewhere, the campaign history, the audience lists and the record of which openings won stay where they are, because they were built in your account rather than in ours.

> “I can't say enough good things about Matt Suffoletto and the team at Suff Digital. I've worked with Matt for years, and his knowledge, expertise, and professionalism are second to none. He truly understands SEO, website management, and digital marketing at a level that delivers real results. Matt helped me get my DJ business ranked on the first page and even the number one spot on Google in an industry with thousands of competing DJs. Those results had a tremendous impact on my business. Most recently, on Memorial Day, my website came under attack from internet hackers. I sent Matt an email expecting a delayed response because of the holiday, but he replied almost immediately, identified the problem, took action, and resolved the issue before it could cause further damage. If you're looking for a digital marketing and web services company that delivers results and stands behind its clients, I highly recommend Suff Digital.”

## YouTube Advertising Deliverables

Everything below is built inside your own Google Ads and analytics accounts, and it stays there if you leave us.

Month One

Running the campaigns

✓ The video campaign map — Which campaign carries which stage of the decision, which audience it serves and the creative theme that belongs to it.

✓ Daily bidding work across the video formats — Bid strategies chosen per campaign from the data that campaign has, with the reason recorded next to it.

✓ Audience lists you keep — Custom intent, affinity, remarketing and customer match lists built inside your own account.

Months 2-3

The video and the tests

✓ What each opening did, cycle by cycle — Which openings ran, against which fixed cut, what each did to the cost of a customer, and why the losers lost.

✓ The frequency cap and the rotation date — The cap set for each audience, the weekly frequency reading next to view rate, and when the next cut goes live.

✓ The follow-up video, for viewers only — Second and third messages served only to people who watched the first.

Ongoing

Measurement and reporting

✓ View-through and click tracking — Conversion actions wired through Google Ads and GA4, with the view-through window set deliberately rather than left on the default.

✓ The weekly video read — Cost per view, view rate, conversions and cost per customer on one screen, naming what moved and what we changed.

✓ Brand lift surveys, when the scale justifies one — Surveys on ad recall, consideration and purchase intent, run when a campaign is large enough to answer.

• Frequently asked questions

## Common Questions

The inventory has widened and more of the buying has gone to automation. YouTube now sells in-stream, Shorts, in-feed and connected TV placements through Google Ads, and the platform makes more of the bidding and placement calls itself. The weight falls back on what automation cannot fix: who you target, what the opening seconds say, how often it runs and how you measure it.

YouTube now sells in-stream, Shorts, in-feed and connected TV placements through Google Ads, and the platform makes more of the bidding and placement calls itself. Advertisers pay Google to place an ad; creators are paid separately from a share of the advertising revenue their videos earn, so the two numbers are not the same. Neither is fixed: both move with the audience, the format, the season and who else is bidding. We agree a target cost per customer before launch."
