    Summary

A software company notices that people keep finding it through Reddit threads where users compare tools. It starts running Reddit ads in those communities, then adds the Reddit Pixel to its website so it can see which ads lead to sign-ups and show ads again to people who visited. That is the step thousands of websites have taken over the last two years.

The Reddit Pixel is a snippet of code from Reddit that reports visits, sign-ups and purchases from Reddit ads back to the platform. A business installs it once it takes Reddit advertising seriously enough to measure it, so the count of websites running it is a direct signal of how many advertisers are committing to the platform.

That count is rising faster than for any other social ad pixel tracked month by month. The Reddit Pixel is on 44.8% more websites than a year ago, nearly three times the 15.5% growth of the TikTok Pixel, and 110.1% more than two years ago. It is still small, on one homepage in 400, but it has grown almost every month with no plateau.

    What we measured

We used 24 monthly snapshots of the public HTTP Archive crawl, from October 2024 to September 2026. Each month HTTP Archive loads the homepages of 15 to 16 million websites on a mobile device and records the software each one uses; September 2026 covered 15,470,478 homepages. We counted the homepages that load the Reddit Pixel each month and divided by the number of homepages checked that month, so the share adjusts for changes in the number of websites checked.

The one-year change compares September 2025 with September 2026, and the two-year change compares October 2024 with September 2026. For comparison we counted the TikTok Pixel, the X (Twitter) ads pixel and embedded Twitter widgets over the same months.

The only fall came in January 2026, from 31,343 to 30,915 homepages, in a month when the total number of homepages checked shrank by about a million. The Reddit Pixel's share of websites still rose that month, from 0.20% to 0.21%. Growth this even points to a steady flow of new advertisers rather than one large company rolling the pixel out across many sites.

Reddit is growing nearly three times as fast as TikTok

Over the same year, the Reddit Pixel grew 44.8%, the TikTok Pixel 15.5%, and the X (Twitter) ads pixel shrank 20.7%. Embedded Twitter widgets fell 26.2%. Among the social ad platforms tracked month by month, Reddit is the fastest riser.

In raw numbers TikTok still gained more: 34,237 homepages in the year against 11,983 for Reddit. Relative to its size, though, Reddit is growing almost three times as fast, the pattern of a platform in its early adoption phase.

Reddit is still a small platform on websites

The Reddit Pixel is on 0.25% of websites, one homepage in 400. The TikTok Pixel is on 6.6 times as many and the Meta Pixel on about 62 times as many. For most businesses, Reddit is not yet part of their social ad setup, which is why its growth rate stands out: each new advertiser moves the count noticeably.

    What this means for advertisers

Reddit ads let you reach people inside communities built around a topic, often while they are researching a purchase. If your buyers compare products or ask for advice on Reddit, test a campaign in the relevant communities, and install the Reddit Pixel and Reddit's server-side Conversions API before you spend, so results can be judged on sign-ups and sales rather than clicks.

The small base is an opportunity. With the Reddit Pixel on one website in 400, few of your competitors are feeding Reddit conversion data or building audiences from their site visitors there. Write ads that sound like the community rather than a brand, and measure Reddit's cost per sale against your Meta and TikTok campaigns on the same terms.

Working with a paid social agency such as Suff Digital means Reddit is tested and tracked alongside Meta and TikTok, with budgets moved to whichever platform sells at the best cost.
